Senior Estimator

Our client is a well established general contractor in business for nearly 60 years and with a diverse portfolio spanning retail, commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects. They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team in Cambridge, ON.

The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing project specifications and blueprints, conducting site visits, preparing accurate cost estimates, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and maintaining cost databases. Collaboration with the project management team to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints will be essential.

To excel in this role, you will need:

* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications

* Strong negotiation and communication skills

* Experience in cost estimation and budgeting

* Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes

* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

* A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

* Experience with construction estimating software (preferred)
