Role Overview

The Senior Estimator will lead estimating activities for large-scale projects ranging from $25M to $100M in value. This position requires a detail-oriented leader with extensive experience preparing comprehensive cost estimates, managing bid processes, and collaborating closely with project teams to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and retail construction projects within the $25M–$100M range.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope and establish cost drivers and risk factors.
• Develop and oversee bid packages, including solicitation of subcontractor and vendor proposals, scope reviews, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to integrate cost control measures and value engineering throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Manage estimating teams, mentoring junior estimators and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of estimates.
• Present cost proposals and analysis to senior management and clients, providing insights and recommendations to inform decision-making.
• Stay current on construction industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and innovative estimating tools.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in construction estimating with a proven record of managing projects sized between $25M and $100M.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques in commercial, industrial, and retail sectors.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines.
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and advanced computer skills.
• A degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
