Senior Engineer - Quality (Outsourcing)

JOB TITLE, DESCRIPTION & REPORTING LINE QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Sr Engineer- Quality (Outsourcing) – Manager Quality (Outsourcing)

• Source inspection of Untreated, Treated parts, Assembly & Kits at Various suppliers places, including review & confirming the Documentation & clearance through stamp, to dispatch for various Magellan Divisions.
• Inspection & review of First Article Inspection Report and Partial FAIRs
• Carrying out Product Audit’s at supplier’s place, assess the strength of Root cause corrective actions (RCCA), recommendations and their Perceived levels of effectiveness and sustainability, during a Non-conformance.
• Carry out Structured Problem Solving for any Non-Conforming output at Supplier place.
• Carry out Supplier Audits for inboard of Suppliers for Parent Company.
• Responsible to improve Supplier Quality and Delivery Performance.
• Monitor supplier’s Quality Performance and Corrective Actions for quality Concerns.
• Guiding subordinates in Inspection and Quality related activities.
• Guide suppliers to meet Magellan Aerospace & Prime customer’s quality management system, requirements.
• Updating Source inspection status reports on weekly basis.

Education Qualification:

B.E. Mechanical or Aeronautics

Minimum Experience Required: 8 - 10 years of experience in relevant field.

Skills

• Knowledge of AS9100 standard
• Excellent Engineering Drawing interpretation skills.
• Must have sound knowledge on special process.
• Excellent Problem solving skills.
• Must be proficient with 7QC Tools.
• To have good analytical skills
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection per AS9102
• IT skills to include Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint)
• Good Knowledge of GD&T
• Must have CMM knowledge and must interpret CMM reports.
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Having CAD/CAM knowledge is an added advantage.
• Basic Awareness on EMS, ERT, First Aid, and Applicable OCP’s for ISO14001 an added advantage.
