Director of IT Infrastructure

Based in High Point, NC or Martinsville, VA
Responsible for the performance, scalability, availability, and security of enterprise infrastructure across a multi-site furniture manufacturing organization.
Hands-on technology leader that will ensure seamless operations across data centers, cloud platforms, and end-user environments while driving high availability and operational resilience. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure standardization, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation within distributed industrial environments. This position will report to our VP of Enterprise Systems and Applications and manage a team of 3-4 IT professionals.

Preferred Certifications
Cisco (CCNP, CCIE), ITIL, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Trend Micro (Deep Security, Apex One), or equivalent.
This position is an in-office role.

Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Infrastructure & Network Strategy
- Architect and manage LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and internet services across all sites.
- Administer firewalls and secure remote access (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto).
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and standardization across all infrastructure.
- Manage on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS).
- Lead proactive monitoring, diagnostics, and incident alerting tools. Execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
- Implement layered defenses and endpoint protection
- Oversee VPN, access controls, and secure authentication.
- Maintain audit readiness and DR documentation.
- Track KPIs for uptime, performance, and recovery.
- Manage vendor relationships and infrastructure procurement.
- Lead infrastructure programs supporting growth, M&A, and facility expansion.
Team and Stakeholder Leadership
- Build and mentor high-performance teams.
- Strategic IT infrastructure partner to the business.
- Educate stakeholders on best practices in infrastructure and DR/BC.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity. Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable.
