Must have: Experience with Federal Tax compliance in pass-through entities in international reporting structures
Qualifications:
- At least 8+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent gained working or industry
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field
- This position will have significant executive experience therefore, proven, excellent communication skills with management and clients are required
- Licensed CPA or JD
- Experience with all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel) and GoSystems (or similar tax reporting software)
- 1+ years of experience as aSenior Tax Manager/Director
- A working knowledge of ASC 740, including ASC740-10-5-6 (FIN 48)
- Willingness to travel (limited case by case basis)
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations;
- Develop and deliver quality tax planning approaches with timely and responsive services and work product that meets and/or exceeds client expectations;
- Perform due diligence including review of tax returns, financials, and other tax documentation to evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities;
- Prepare financial and tax models computing cash tax impacts of proposed planning.;
- Research discreet technical issues pertaining to Sub C international issues, debt restructuring issues, reorganizations, and restructurings;
- Draft technical memoranda and opinions;
- Coordinate with foreign offices and other international tax and transfer pricing team members to deliver highest quality integrated work product;
- Develop and maintain client relationships;
- Manage client engagements, from client interview, information gathering and documentation, to the creation of project deliverable;
- Generate business development leads and projects; and
- Supervise, train and mentor staff members.
- Assistance with US international tax diligence and coordination of foreign offices for local country tax diligence
- Acquisition, disposition and internal restructuring
- Assist tax provision and compliance teams with the proper computation and reporting of Section 965, Section 951A, Section 59A, Section 163(j), including modeling tax expense impact of these and other tax reform provisions
- Modeling transaction scenarios across jurisdictions
- Identifying matters to be addressed post-closing, including integration related risks and opportunities
