Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics and equipment financing, serving the needs of private truck fleets operating in North America, with leading technology and product design. With a portfolio of over several thousand leased heavy-duty assets operating throughout the United States.

The Senior Director, Equipment Purchasing is responsible for cost effective purchasing by leveraging relationships with OEM’s, component manufactures and dealerships. OEM equipment purchasing includes; purchase price, rebates, volume discounts, extended transferable warranty and buybacks or trade-in program negotiations, order board information, upcoming design changes in equipment and delivery problem resolution. Negotiates volume discounts, maintains and improves rebate revenues. Oversees maintenance of standard tractor and straight truck spec for vertical markets. Provides equipment information and support to customers. Review of customer specifications compare to standard spec, including ECM settings.

Background Required:
  • OEM Equipment Purchasing (Minimum 3 of years’ experience.)
  • Component manufacturers (rebate, discounts, equipment & delivery problem resolution)
  • Operations (equipment order placement, delivery of equipment)
  • Fleet operations (maintenance, utilization, fuel economy)
  • Resale value & analysis of specifications, upcoming equipment technology & fuel economy
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Preferred Residence: Fort Lauderdale, FL (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Contacts & relationships (OEM, component manufacturers, dealerships)
  • Business Analysis (fleet analytics, establish utilization, set MPG targets)
  • Maintenance (obtain maintenance costs, set up 3rd party)
  • Finance (FASB-IASB accounting)
  • Sales (prospects for service, equipment review, value-added services)
  • Lease, buy, analysis
  • Education: College Graduate (BA or BS)
