Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics and equipment financing.

The Vice President, Fleet Services is responsible for the fleet operations relationship management of customers / lessees in their fleet of Class 8 tractors and trailers. By combining technology and fleet operations experience and knowledge, this role includes establishing processes & procedures for monitoring and reporting equipment expenses in fuel consumption, maintenance and repair as well as best practices for maintenance processes and purchasing process. Of primary importance is analysis of customer maintenance costs, trends, best practices and technology and identifying and implementing opportunities to maximize fuel economy through changes in specifications, monitoring OBCs, adjusting ECM parameters, and identifying poor driver habits; lowering M&R expenses through best practices, and achieving operational efficiency utilizing fleet operations. Achieve department financial objectives by participating in preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions. Also responsible for (ERS) Emergency Road Service and outside vendor, selection and cost containment. Establish strategic maintenance plans and KPI’s including PM, tires. Management of warranty administration, shop facilities, equipment and parts inventories. The challenge is to reduce costs while maximizing utilization.

Background Required:
  • Maintenance management (minimum 5 years)
  • Truck fleet operations (minimum 5 years)
  • Established maintenance practices & procedures (KPI’s)
  • Proven knowledge of equipment specifications
  • Vendor relations & negotiations
  • Fleet analytics (i.e. On-board Computers, ECM Interface, Telematics)
  • Software (i.e. TMT)
  • Parts management, procurement & warranty
  • Equipment breakdown process
  • Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience purchasing equipment
  • Education: BA, BS, or Technical Degree
