Senior Director / VP of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

We’re seeking a results-oriented Senior Director or VP of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis efforts for a rapidly growing, private equity-backed healthcare organization. This role will be responsible for

  • Leading the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Partnering with C-suite and senior leadership to assess financial implications of strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining advanced financial models to drive decision-making around profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Overseeing forecasting, variance analysis, and identification of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Managing financial reporting and communications to executive management, board members, and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring adherence to financial best practices, healthcare regulations, and reporting standards.

Expectations will include

  • Delivering timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights that support operational and clinical decision-making.
  • Driving margin optimization, cost containment, and resource allocation initiatives across all departments.
  • Providing financial leadership in cross-functional projects related to service delivery, staffing, and capital investment.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing FP&A team with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as the central financial liaison across operational and departmental leaders.

A qualified candidate will possess the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • CPA or CFA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive FP&A experience, including leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare finance, including multi-entity operations.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively.
  • Expertise with enterprise-level financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Workday) and advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement models, regulations, and patient cost structures.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

Compensation: Compensation will include a base salary and bonus with the potential of equity for the right candidate. Total cash compensation will be in the low to mid $200s annually.
