Senior Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer to join our dynamic team at a medical center. This high-level role involves performing diagnostic sonograms to accurately portray anatomy for interpretation, ensuring patient care and procedural accuracy. Salary: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation.
  • Obtain proper clinical information from the requesting physician or service prior to exams.
  • Prepare patients and set up imaging equipment for procedures.
  • Conduct self-critiques of imaging exams to ensure optimal quality and correct any identified sub-optimal techniques.
  • Maintain flexibility to orient and work at various medical center locations and shifts as required by department needs.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and standards in the performance of sonography studies.
  • Maintain RDMS credentials as per the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's standards.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound training program approved by CAHEEP.
  • ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent experience in a similar setting.
  • Ability to perform detailed and complex tasks essential to providing high-quality patient care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pediatrics experience highly desired.
  • Previous hospital environment experience preferred.
  • Ultrasound experience in OB/GYN, thyroid, kidney, liver and pancreas transplant.
