Senior Cyber FPGA Design Engineer
Join our elite team as a Senior Cyber FPGA Design Engineer in Dedham, MA, where you will be instrumental in designing secure FPGA-based systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, a passion for cybersecurity, and a deep commitment to securing national security assets. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept through production, focusing on system architecture, design verification, and ensuring the delivery of cost-effective and robust security solutions. A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory for this role.
Salary: $185,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and implement verification methodologies for complex FPGA designs using UVM and SystemVerilog.
- Analyze technical requirements to develop comprehensive test plans that ensure all functionalities meet security and performance standards.
- Develop and maintain scalable simulation environments from scratch to effectively test FPGA designs.
- Work collaboratively within a team to manage project timelines, report progress and resolve design challenges.
- Utilize advanced verification tools such as Xilinx FPGA and Questa to ensure thorough testing and validation processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system security and reliability over time.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.
- Experience with scripting languages such as bash/csh, Perl, TCL, or Python.
- Proficiency with hardware description languages like VHDL or similar.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in defining verification methodology for complex FPGAs.
- Strong familiarity with SystemVerilog/UVM and setting up simulation environments from ground up.
- Experience with FPGA/ASIC design is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA & Questa Advanced Functional Verification tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and drive team success.
Skills:
- Expertise in FPGA design and verification.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze requirements and create effective test plans.
- In-depth knowledge of VHDL or similar hardware description languages.
- Competency in using verification tools and methodologies (OVM/UVM).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
