Senior Cost Analyst

We are excited to offer a pivotal role within our internal finance team as a Senior Cost Analyst. In this capacity, you will leverage your analytical prowess and detail orientation to spearhead cost savings initiatives, enhance our KPI frameworks, and refine our costing and inventory processes. This role is integral to our ongoing efforts to optimize operations and ensure financial rigor across all our business units. Your expertise will directly influence our manufacturing efficiency and financial health, particularly through critical activities such as month-end closing, budget forecasting, and capital management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cost savings analysis to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Generate and validate accurate KPI reports to monitor and assess operational performance.
  • Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform detailed product costing and maintain robust inventory controls to support financial accuracy.
  • Manage expense budgeting and financial forecasting activities to align spending with strategic goals.
  • Guide capital appropriation processes, ensuring investments are aligned with business objectives.
  • Engage in data processing tasks to support financial analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational and financial efficiencies.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure financial practices align with broader company objectives.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance within the industrial manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or OneStream.
