We are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
About the Role
Our client is seeking an on‑site Senior Corporate Accountant to own core accounting activities across a multi‑entity, larger‑company environment within the service industry. You’ll lead month‑end close, support consolidations, and strengthen internal controls while partnering with FP&A and operations to deliver accurate, timely financials.
Responsibilities
- Lead month‑end close: prepare/review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain multi‑entity GLs and assist with consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- Support revenue recognition for service contracts and recurring revenue models (ASC 606 exposure a plus)
- Prepare and analyze P&L and balance sheet results; deliver variance commentary to leadership
- Manage fixed assets, prepaid/amortization schedules, and lease accounting support (ASC 842 exposure helpful)
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and close calendar efficiency
- Assist with external audit requests and provide well‑documented workpapers
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting/forecasting inputs and operational KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and reporting quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 4+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience, ideally in service‑based industries
- Experience in a larger company or complex, multi‑entity environment
- Strong GAAP knowledge; exposure to ASC 606 (services) and ASC 842 a plus
- Proficient with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel
- Detail‑oriented and organized
- Excellent communication skills and a continuous‑improvement mindset
