We are seeking a Senior Chemical Production Engineer to lead and enhance operations at our state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing facility. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing plant production, optimizing processes through innovative engineering practices, and ensuring that we adhere to all safety and operational standards. Salary: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily production support for continuous chemical operations, facilitating troubleshooting and problem-solving for process equipment issues.
- Manage and oversee plant controls, equipment, and distributed control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct process trials and lead process improvement projects aimed at enhancing plant efficiency and productivity.
- Champion continuous improvements in plant safety, productivity, quality, reliability, and cost reduction.
- Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) re-validations to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
- Actively participate in or lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical process operations, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and PSM practices.
- Proven experience in chemical or polymer plant manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of primary unit operations including reaction, distillation, filtration, polymerization, crystallization, and separation techniques.
- Practical experience with reactors, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, crystallizers, centrifuges, filters, strainers, and pumps.
- Legal authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working towards or possession of a Professional Chemical Engineer License.
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with advanced process modeling and simulation tools.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and projects.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
