Senior/Principal Bioinformatics Scientist Duties:
Research, develop and maintain robust and reproducible methods for use in clinical report products, including next generation sequencing (NGS) processing, variant calling, integration, and interpretation.
Critically integrate and analyze genomic and clinical data
Explore novel biomarker hypotheses and generate meaningful clinical insights.
Work closely with bioinformatics engineers and software engineers to build automation and infrastructure for generating, processing, and interpreting large-scale NGS data sets.
Participate in the broader scientific community by disseminating results through external presentations and publications and communicating latest research findings internally.
PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cancer Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
3+ years’ work experience in biotech/pharma setting.
Proficient in data manipulation and analysis with at least one scripting language (Python, R, etc…)
