Job Overview:
Summary of Accountabilities:
· Analyses and gathers business and technology requirements using a variety of questioning, interviewing, analysis, interpretation, consulting and facilitation techniques in order to determine client needs and requirements for assigned projects.
· Documents requirements using Project Management Methodology Templates to provide a contract of requirements from project stakeholders and to provide the necessary documentation for the project to proceed to design, development, testing and implementation.
- Facilitates and documents the solution design process for assigned projects by working with Business and IT stakeholders in order to determine solutions to requirements and documenting design using Project Management Methodology Templates.
· Assists in the training, development and mentoring of the Business Analysts to provide advancement and job support to these roles.
· Assists project team throughout the project life cycle in order to clarify requirements and designs and to negotiate changes due to design / implementation constraints with the requirement stakeholders.
· Estimates and Forecasts work durations for assigned tasks to help the project manager build a project plan.
Competency Requirements:
· Diploma / Degree in business or computer related discipline
· Experience in a business operations role with an emphasis on process implementation and process improvement.
· Proficient in Flowcharting Tools
· Exposure to Business Modeling / Requirements Management Tools (e.g. Rational Requisite Pro & Rational Rose)
· 2 + years of experience in defining and documenting Business requirements and solutions design.
· 2 + years of experience in analyzing business processes, recommending process improvements and documenting / implementing improvement opportunities.
· 2 + years of experience in working on multiple projects with increasing responsibilities. Detailed understanding of project methodologies. Experience in running small projects or project work packages.
