Senior Automation Project Manager - Remote

Focus:

  • Spearhead the end-to-end lifecycle of large-scale automation and controls projects, from conceptual design through to turnover.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including controls engineers, construction managers, and IT/OT professionals.
  • Manage project schedules, budget oversight, and profitability analysis across diverse high-capital projects.
  • Engage stakeholders through executive-level reporting, client interfacing, and steering committee participation.
  • Introduce and drive adoption of BIM 360, Procore, AI-driven predictive tools, and digital twin technology to optimize project outcomes.
  • Support mentoring and development of junior PMs and technical staff.

Skill Set:

  • 8+ years in industrial automation or controls engineering, with 4+ years leading large-scale automation projects (preferably in mission-critical environments such as Tier III/IV data centers).
  • Deep technical expertise in building automation systems (BAS), PLC, and SCADA platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, Niagara).
  • Proven ability managing complex program deliverables across electrical, HVAC, and IT infrastructure.
  • Strong familiarity with industry codes and safety regulations, including NFPA 70E.
  • Effective communicator and project leader, experienced in distributed teams and remote collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent military or field-based experience.
