Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior M&A Associate with a strong background in tax controversy and tax planning to join our client's growing Investment Banking team. This unique role is designed for a professional who can bridge traditional M&A execution with deep expertise in the tax implications of transactions, ensuring that clients maximize deal value and minimize risk.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support deal structuring, execution, and negotiation across a variety of M&A transactions.
- Apply tax expertise to identify opportunities and potential pitfalls that could materially impact client outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction processes.
- Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation modeling.
- Prepare client presentations and contribute to strategic advisory efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or transaction advisory.
- Strong understanding of tax planning and controversy as it relates to deal structuring.
- CPA, CFA, or advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, MS in Taxation) is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
