Position Title: Senior Applications Engineer

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicates with key customers to document customer product and project needs. Identifies new product applications and communicates with R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing.
• Evaluates customer application requirements for technical considerations.
• Coordinates requests for customer analysis; followed by preparation, review, and issue of written reports to present findings.
• Manages documentation and activities for assigned projects.
• Provides mentoring through technical review and support to other application engineers in the department.
• Trains and develops customers.
• Evaluates customer requirements associated with requests for quotations.
• Identifies cost reduction possibilities and new design opportunities.
• Evaluates product in cooperation with development engineers.
• Supports supply of customer sample product requests.
• Reports progress of required activities such as interchanges, monthly reports, travel, expenses, etc.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8-10 years of position-related experience.
• Preferably over 10 years of position-related experience.
