This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm.
Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service.
Hybrid - In Office 3-4 days per week.
Contract - 6 months, possible renewal

Responsibilities:
- Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
- Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.
- Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
- Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.
Mandatory Skills:
- 7+ years' experience
- Strong Angular JS/TS - 7 yrs
- Strong technical skills with Python, Postgres SQL, Dynamo DB, Neptune, Elastic/Open Search
- Must have good communication skills, strong client-facing skills and able to manage client's expectations
- Demonstrated experience developing and integrating enterprise business applications within the financial services industry preferred 7+ years
- Demonstrated experience integrating applications and processes using web services, API
- Demonstrated experience using Agile or Rapid Application Development practices
- Good understanding and practical experience in DevOps, CI/CD
- 1+ year of Jira, Confluence
- University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
Nice to have
- Strong technical skills with Node JS
- Capital markets/investment industry experience
