Senior Accountant

Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing, global manufacturing organization to add a Senior Accountant to their North American accounting team. This role is hybrid requiring three days a week in the office and will report to the Controller. This is a well-rounded position ideal for someone who enjoys owning the month end close process, digging into financials, and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. This role also has a definitive growth path to a managerial position in the future.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own month-end close for multiple business units, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Review P&L and balance sheet activity to ensure accuracy and proper financial reporting
• Handle intercompany accounting across global entities (including reconciliations and eliminations)
• Analyze general ledger accounts and maintain supporting schedules
• Partner cross-functionally across AR, AP, fixed assets, and inventory
• Support cost analysis and variance reporting against budgets
• Assist with system implementations and process improvements
• Coordinate annual audit and adherence to internal controls
• Work closely with international teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting

WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelors in Accounting
• 4+ years experience in a similar role, manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong general ledger exposure and month-end close foundation
• Experience with intercompany accounting preferred
• ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
