Senior Accountant

Location: Cranberry Township, PA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

A stable and growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support core financial reporting and technical accounting activities. This role is well-suited for an accounting professional with hands-on experience in leases and fixed assets who values accuracy, structure, and operational excellence.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing financial reporting support, and assisting with audit and analysis activities. This position offers exposure to technical accounting, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements within a hybrid work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee lease accounting and fixed asset activity, including capital project authorization and asset capitalization
  • Review, approve, and record transactions related to leases and fixed assets in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
  • Prepare and post journal entries supporting lease and fixed asset accounting
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Support preparation of financial statement disclosures and footnotes
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests related to assigned areas
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting activities
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making
  • Participate in interim and annual audit processes
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE , AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including lease accounting (ASC 842)
  • Hands-on experience with fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working within large ERP environments (e.g., SAP or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
