About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a Baltimore-based public company that continues to invest in its accounting and finance team as it plans for future growth. This Senior Accountant opening is a key addition to the team and offers strong visibility, meaningful ownership, and multiple paths for long-term development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the pace of monthly close, wants to take on more complex accounting work, and is looking for a company where strong performance can lead to future growth in accounting, reporting, or finance.

What You’ll Do
You’ll play a central role in the monthly close process, handling higher-level accounting work including accruals, revenue share, reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
Support accurate financial reporting while helping research issues, apply accounting policy, and improve processes.
Partner across teams to gather information, explain results, and keep reporting moving in a deadline-driven environment.
Assist with audit support, SOX-related work, and ongoing efforts to improve automation and efficiency.

Who You Are
You’re a self-starter who takes ownership, works well independently, and knows how to keep things moving without constant direction. You’re detail-oriented, strong in Excel, and comfortable working through the close cycle in a fast-paced environment. This role fits someone who wants more than routine accounting work and is ready to take on visible responsibilities with room to grow.

Preferred Experience & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA is a plus but not required.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Public company experiences preferred.
- Understanding of US GAAP and SOX preferred.
- Strong Excel skills required.
