Senior Accountant Mission-Driven Nonprofit

Are you an Accountant who wants more than just numbers on a page? You’ll work closely with a small, collaborative finance team and partner directly with organizational leaders to ensure strong accounting operations while also supporting creative and community-focused projects. What You’ll Do

  • Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Oversee AP/AR across multiple entities
  • Support annual audit and insurance renewal processes
  • Assist with budget preparation and provide financial reporting to both finance and non-finance leaders
  • Partner with program leaders on budgets for high-profile community initiatives
  • Contribute to payroll support, IRS filings, and compliance needs
  • Build relationships across the organization to strengthen financial collaboration

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit background helpful but not required)
  • Strong foundation in general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close
  • QuickBooks or ERP system experience preferred
  • CPA is always welcomed
  • A curious, proactive mindset and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-accountants
  • Mission-driven perspective and desire to contribute to the community
