We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional to take on a broad range of general accounting responsibilities in a hybrid role based in Westlake, OH.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve variances
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
• Support internal and external audit requests, including preparation of documentation and schedules
• Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial integrity
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, and financial models
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working independently within a hybrid work schedule
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred
