Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant
Location/City : NJ - Princeton area
Hybrid - 3 days in office
Salary to $100K plus bonus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare monthly financial reporting package
• Maintain details of subsidiary schedules and reconcile same to G/L monthly
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Perform monthly sub-ledger reconciliation (i.e. AR, AP, Inventory, FA, etc)
• Compilation of annual budget and monthly forecast package and commentary, including variance analysis
• Maintaining proper accruals and prepaid balances
• Participate in process improvement initiatives in an effort to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the department
• Document internal controls, policies and procedures

• Prepare required supporting schedules and documentation for external and internal auditors in their review
• Assist business unit in understanding financials provided
• Additional ad-hoc, special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelors or advanced Degree in Accounting
• 3 to 7 years of general accounting experience
• High proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with large ERP accounting systems.
• Strong ability to multi task and the ability to act as a liaison for the accounting department while partnering with various teams within the organization
• Ability to work some extended hours during peak accounting periods
