Senior Accountant
This role will primarily be working remotely. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing and evolving accounting team within a dynamic consumer products environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact position where you’ll play a key role in strengthening financial operations, improving processes, and partnering across the business.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations with full support
- Perform variance analysis across the P&L and balance sheet and present insights to leadership
- Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, inventory, and reserves
Inventory, Costing & COGS
- Reconcile inventory sub-ledger to the general ledger, including third-party logistics activity
- Ensure accuracy of landed costs (freight, duty, warehousing, etc.)
- Analyze purchase price and freight variances, with a focus on margin improvement
AR, AP & Cash Support
- Research and resolve customer deductions and chargebacks
- Assist with cash application and customer account reconciliations
- Support AP with 3-way match discrepancies and vendor accrual accuracy
- Maintain reserves for promotions, returns, and customer programs
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Document workflows across ERP, WMS, and operational systems
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams
- Support pricing, costing, and customer program analysis
- Provide insights to improve margins and control costs across the business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in consumer products, wholesale, or distribution environments strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and inventory accounting
- ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or analytics tools a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
