Senior Accountant

We are partnering with at global distributor of a widely recognized product that they sell, install, and service. This division has been growing through acquisition and organic growth. They are looking for a Senior Accountant who wants to continue to grow and take on new accounting challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning the month end close process, partnering with business leaders, improving processes, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

DESCRIPTION:

• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Assist with fixed asset maintenance and reporting for multiple divisions including participating in system set up review and implementing changes.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to support the activities of the business.
• Assist in completing reporting packages for all reporting entities.
• Ensure all intercompany activities are correctly recorded and eliminate in consolidation including preparing inter-group statements and researching/resolving balancing issues.
• Review of preliminary income statement and key balance sheet accounts by division/entity to ensure financials are correctly stated
• Proactively research and resolve account variances and communicate resolution to divisional controllers as necessary
• Work with the Regional Controller and Business Unit Controller on special projects requiring detailed activity analysis

EXPERIENCE:

• 4+ year degree in Accounting
• Self-motivating, problem-solver, capable of managing multiple projects
• Driven, positive attitude
• Experience with a large ERP system
• A “can-do” attitude
