We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client located in Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL)
• Prepare and review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely reporting
• Collaborate with finance team to produce weekly and monthly P&L reports, perform variance analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting
• Identify and implement process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support audit and compliance initiatives
• Work cross-functionally to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
