Carolina PRG is helping a growing national company add two senior accountants for the corporate accounting team based in Charlotte.

Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the month-end financials, complex account reconciliations, preparing & reviewing journal entries, and supporting the leadership team with ad hoc reporting. This role is part of a collaborative accounting team and reports directly to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, curiosity, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month‑end and quarter‑end close tasks
• Prepare and review journal entries
• Own assigned general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Reconcile and maintain the integrity of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support internal controls
• Assist with audits, reporting requests, and ad‑hoc analysis
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3+ years of experience, plus national public accounting experience
• Active CPA or progress toward CPA
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles
• Knowledge of SOX compliance preferred
