Corporate Accountant

Location: Charlotte, NC (South Park Area) – Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our clients finance team in Charlotte, NC. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in a complex multi-entity environment, and a proactive approach to process improvement coming from public accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for multiple entities
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation and analysis
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, and supply chain
• Analyze variances and trends across channels
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
• Participate in system upgrades and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree a plus
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience, ideally from public accounting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Understanding of reconciliations, consolidations, and fixed assets
• Strong Excel skills
