Title: Senior Accountant Financial Reporting
Location: Princeton, NJ area
Hybrid: Remote 2 days per week
Salary: $95000-105000 plus bonus

Overview of the Senior Accountant Financial Reporting position
Princeton area! Hybrid / 3 days in office. Newly created Senior Accountant role in the Princeton area is open due to company growth. 2 to 6 years of accounting experience required, CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Perform analytical functions related to the general ledger month-end close.
• Utilize financial reporting software to create, maintain, and update reporting templates and data queries.
• Analyze financial statements, costs and equity transactions, prepare financial statements and provide general accounting support.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment for various projects.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly financial statements.
• Identify and research technical accounting and reporting matters, accounting principles and financial reporting rules.
• Assist with explaining to management the financial performance of the projects.
• Compile financial statements and footnote schedule in accordance with annual audits.
• Support audit requests from external auditors and key stakeholders within the organization.
• Ensure reported financial results are completed timely and accurately.
• Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA and/or Master’s in accounting preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Knowledge of ERP accounting system.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including performing financial and analytical computations in Excel.
