MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Reporting to/from affiliates and Tokyo HQ (coordination & Analysis)
- Manage Accounting tasks for Holding Companies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
[Group Companies]
- Collect financial documents from affiliated companies
- Tally the data of financial information collected from affiliated companies
- Perform basic analysis of collected financial data for review by Senior Staffs in the Finance team
- Assist to report collected financial documents to Tokyo HQ
- Assist to communicate with Tokyo for the follow up questions and additional information
- Assist to create meeting materials for communication with affiliated companies and Tokyo HQ
[US and Canadian Holding Companies]
- Prepare accounting entries for general journal, income and expenditures for US and Canadian holding companies
- Generate periodic financial reports from the system
- Perform analysis on the periodic financial reports for review by Senior Staffs in the Finance team
- Prepare annual financial budgets & forecasts
[Common]
- Coordinate meeting schedule with affiliated companies and Japan HQ
- Coordinate interpreter/translator for business communication with Japan HQ
- The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed above and other duties may be assigned
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance
- Work experience in FP&A or similar preferred
- Work experience in Japanese-affiliated companies preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENT & SKILLS:
- Basic understanding of Balance Sheet, Income Statement accounts & Cash Flow, as well as major KPIs in Finance.
- Computer, filing, and 10-key skills required
- MS Office with Advanced skills in Word & Excel; ability to learn new programs easily
- Tactful and has professional demeanor, and ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when needed
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures
- Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
- Fluent in Japanese preferred to communicate better with Japan HQ
