Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Non-Perishable Division of a family-owned third-party solutions provider in business for over 70 years. The organization succeeds in customizing freight solutions offering dry and temp-controlled truckload, less-than-truckload, air & ocean freight, intermodal, and importing / exporting solutions. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for growing, developing, and generating customer leads through networking and marketing. Will cross-sell the company’s full portfolio of logistics solutions to maintain and grow relationships with customers. Uncovers business opportunities by identifying, prospecting, researching and utilizing industry knowledge to discover areas of growth. Responsible for onboarding new accounts through outside sales efforts. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues, and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility for selling Non-Asset Truck Brokerage (3+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Truckload, Less-than-Truckload, Intermodal)
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: USA
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Inside Sales
  • Sector experience (i.e. Food, Produce)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
