Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO of a non-asset 3PL that designs logistic and transportation solutions for businesses by working with asset-based partners to secure shipping capacity and services across multiple transportation modes, including over the road, rail, and bulk/tanker options.
Responsible for the acquisition and growth of accounts in the areas of full truckload, domestic van and refrigerated freight. Will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and maintaining current accounts. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. This role will include inside and outside selling. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Business Development within Transportation Brokerage (4+ years)
  • Proven track record of building a book of business
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e., Truckload, Dry Van, Reefer)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Dallas, TX
