Sales Engineer – AI-Driven Security & IoT Solutions

Overview

A fast-growing AI and video analytics company is seeking a Sales Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and client success. This is a technical pre-sales role supporting the sales team with demos, architecture support, and solution design across physical security, IoT, and smart infrastructure deployments.

What You’ll Do

  • Support sales reps with technical expertise during prospect calls, presentations, and site visits

  • Translate customer needs into tailored solutions across video analytics, AI-driven detection, and access control

  • Conduct product demonstrations and proofs of concept

  • Write technical responses for RFPs/RFIs and guide customers through procurement requirements

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and product to ensure client needs are met

  • Stay current on product updates and industry trends in AI, IoT, and public safety technology

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or pre-sales role

  • Familiarity with physical security systems (VMS, NVRs, IP cameras, access control) and/or IoT platforms

  • Ability to convey technical solutions in plain language

  • Strong presentation, writing, and communication skills

  • Bonus if you’ve worked with government, campus, or large enterprise clients

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%)
