Position Overview
The Packaging Account Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding the organization’s packaging portfolio in North America. This is a strategic sales position focused on building relationships, driving revenue, and positioning the company as a premier supplier in the packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Required:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow packaging and board product lines.
    • Manage existing accounts and identify new business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, innovation) to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Travel domestically and internationally for client meetings and product training.
  • Preferred:
    • Bring an existing book of business in packaging or containerboard.
    • Provide insights on market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
    • Mentor junior sales team members and contribute to succession planning.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging, containerboard, or related sales.
    • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage a remote territory.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with folding carton, barrier board, or specialty packaging.
    • Familiarity with sustainability practices in packaging.
    • Prior experience working with major accounts or merchant networks.
