SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Base + Commission)
AUBURN/OPELIKA, AL

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. As an Inside Sales Representative for our office furniture division, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by engaging with potential customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions from our extensive range of high-quality office furniture products, including those from top brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Proactively reach out to potential customers through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels to introduce our product offerings and generate interest.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert advice on office furniture solutions that align with their needs.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our product range, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages of the furniture lines we carry, particularly Steelcase products.
  • Quoting and Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely quotes, proposals, and presentations for clients, ensuring all client requirements are met and pricing is competitive.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process.
  • Order Processing: Manage the entire order process from initial inquiry to delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction at every step. Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead follow-up, sales conversions, and customer interactions in the CRM system. Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Sales Manager.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the outside sales team, marketing, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and to support overall sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in inside sales, preferably in the office furniture industry or a related field. Experience with office furniture products is a strong plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and results-driven with a passion for sales. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
