Our client, a company with an international presence, and a producer of Portland and masonry cement, has an immediate opening for a Sales Representative.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close, in an assigned territory. The Sales Representative will develops and implement a Marketing Plan, and will work within their support group for the achievement of customer satisfaction and revenue generation to meet the net-realized price goals in line with the company's vision and values.
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and cement/concrete/masonry product knowledge in all areas to allow effective presentations to cement/masonry users, such as concrete products and ready-mix concrete producers, masonry contractors, contractors – soil-cement, concrete paving, remediation and other entities, such as architects/engineers, Department of Transportation officials, trade associations, and other government officials.
- Develop an annuals sales budget in conjunction with the sales management, which details customers, sales volumes and pricing that meets sales goals and quotas.
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation and negotiate with business owners and decision-makers.
- Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, internet yellow pages listing, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling to cement users.
- Ability to gather, submit detailed business information on the market, construction projects, competitors and cement users.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
- Communicate information to customers and corporate personnel.
Experienced sales in bulk or packaged cement is a plus. Sales experience in related industry would also be considered.
