SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Position Summary: The Sales Representative is responsible for expanding the organization's membership base and increasing revenue through both new member acquisition and the retention of existing members. This role involves networking with local businesses, promoting services, and highlighting the benefits of membership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Membership Sales & Acquisition:
- Identify and engage potential new members through research, networking, and outreach.
- Make outbound sales calls.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with prospective members to communicate the benefits of membership.
- Close membership sales, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new members.
- Member Retention & Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current members, understanding their business needs and offering solutions through services.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell additional programs, events, and sponsorships to existing members.
- Business Development:
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Business Affairs to develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns.
- Attend local business events, networking functions, and other opportunities to represent the organization and promote membership.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including contact information, meeting notes, and sales pipeline updates in the CRM system.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress towards goals, and member feedback.
- Event Support:
- Assist in planning, promoting, and executing events, including luncheons, networking events, and educational workshops, to ensure high attendance and member engagement.
- Represent the organization at community events to build relationships and increase visibility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a B2B environment, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of business professionals.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of the local business community is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and a commitment to driving results.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
