Job Summary:

Our client in the Manufacturing and Retail sector is seeking a Sales Representative who will play a critical role in supporting the organization's growth by driving sales performance, achieving targets, and contributing to strategic business development initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach to pursuing new business opportunities, while strengthening and expanding relationships with existing customers.

Primary Purpose:

To effectively service customers by promoting and selling products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting the organization’s sales objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Manage existing accounts, process customer orders, and proactively establish new accounts through planned daily interactions with existing and prospective clients.
  • Submit customer orders through designated tools (Tablet and Access Programme) and coordinate with internal departments (Customer Service Representatives, Credit, Dispatch) to ensure prompt delivery.
  • Manage timely collections in accordance with customers’ credit terms.
  • Provide management with regular updates through activity reports, including daily cash reports, weekly sales logs, and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on competitive activity by gathering and analyzing market information regarding products, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Serve as a key problem-solver for assigned customers, addressing issues related to collections, credits, damages, promotions, and more.
  • Proactively seek to expand product listings and identify new customer opportunities.
  • Actively participate in promotional initiatives, including supervising promoters when required.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Customer Service and Sales.
  • Minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE O' Level passes or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in a retail FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle.
