Guided Search Partners (GSP)
Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships.
We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with an established global manufacturer known for precision engineering and decades of technical excellence. With more than 75 years of success in designing and producing advanced testing systems, this company continues to innovate across industries from manufacturing and defense to academic and pharmaceutical research.

As the organization expands its reach within the pharmaceutical market and realigns its sales territories, this opportunity was created to support continued growth and customer engagement in the Mid-Atlantic region. It’s a dynamic role for a professional who thrives on building relationships, delivering hands-on demonstrations, and guiding customers through complex, high-value solutions.

You’ll join a trusted, customer-focused team recognized for deep product knowledge, technical integrity, and a collaborative sales culture that values partnership over pressure.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership of a well-established territory encompassing Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia—managing a full-cycle sales process from initial contact to delivery.

  • Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations that showcase system capabilities and performance.
  • Manage quoting, order entry, and coordination through fulfillment to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain strong visibility with key accounts while developing new relationships in target sectors, especially pharma.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and operations teams to align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide ongoing product education, support, and insight to drive customer satisfaction and retention.

This is a consultative sales environment where expertise, responsiveness, and professionalism drive results more than cold calling.

Who You Are

You’re a technically minded sales professional who enjoys combining customer interaction with problem-solving. Naturally curious and confident, you bring both technical credibility and commercial savvy to every conversation. You value long-term relationships, prefer face-to-face collaboration, and excel at translating complex systems into clear solutions.

You’re the type who thrives on seeing advanced technology in action—someone who can connect product performance with real-world outcomes for your customers.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of capital equipment sales experience.
  • Proven success selling technical instruments or systems into manufacturing, academic, or government sectors.
  • Familiarity with laboratory or testing environments a strong plus.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Trusted professional who combines consultative selling with technical depth.

Why This Role Matters

This position plays a pivotal role in sustaining customer trust and driving growth across critical industries. By representing a globally respected brand, you’ll help ensure that clients have access to reliable, precision-engineered systems that enable research, innovation, and safety.

You’ll have direct visibility with senior leadership and cross-functional partners, making this an influential opportunity to shape territory performance and contribute to the company’s continued evolution.

With strong customer relationships already in place and untapped potential in pharma, now is the ideal time to join a company known for its quality, integrity, and technical excellence.
