Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of confined livestock housing environmental control systems. They specialize in ventilation equipment and controls that optimize barn temperature and humidity, reduce ammonia levels, control lighting and more. Based in Canada, family-owned and with worldwide reach, they design, manufacture, and distribute their proprietary innovations through an established and growing distribution channel. They have achieved dominant market share in several markets and several categories and continue to implement plans to support further growth.
Included in their growth strategy is a sales position to serve the market in Eastern Canada and the Eastern US. The primary focus of the role will be in the dairy market, with additional opportunities to serve the poultry and swine segments. You will be working with an existing network of dealers and distributors, will seek out new dealer opportunities, and will train, support and coach the network to achieve sales and grow their businesses. You will also have the opportunity to assist dealer representatives in their on-farm sales calls, helping them to secure the deal.
Your success in this role will be supported by your general knowledge of livestock production and housing systems, your demonstrated successful agricultural sales and territory management experience (2-3 years minimum), and your business sense. You can effectively address varied audiences- at the boardroom level and at the farm gate. You have solid business acumen and know how to manage a territory, by recruiting and supporting effective dealers and distribution partners.
