Job Description

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for developing, training, and managing a high-performance team that provides integrated support to clients and team members in sales, account management, and operations. This person will ultimately lead a dynamic team involved in onboarding new clients, tracking and reporting customer KPIs and company service level performance, and supporting our sales and operations teams with insightful data and analysis.

This position requires the Manager to work onsite at the Company’s offices in Orange, CA, near the 55, 22, and 5 Freeways, Honda Center, Angels Stadium, public transportation, and a wide array of food, retail, and housing options.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Research and communicate changes in client service requirements and sales opportunities to members of the sales and account management teams;
  • Proactively complete analyses to identify client trends, meet client scorecard or reporting requirements, and support data-driven, operational, and sales decision making;
  • Support the establishment of strong client relationships by promptly responding to client requests, providing client education, meeting all client reporting obligations, and communicating the findings of any reports/analyses to clients;
  • Facilitate client education for and onboarding to the company’s software platform and operational processes;
  • Regularly review and evaluate department performance metrics in support of associate review, training, team compensation planning, and continuous improvement processes;
  • Lead the hiring and training of new Sales Operations associates; and
  • Collaborate with department leaders in sales, account management, technology, finance, and operations to develop highly efficient, automated, and technology-driven solutions for meeting client service and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal Sales Operations Manager will be service-oriented and process-driven, with a strong understanding of data analytics and customer service. The Manager will need the communication and project management skills required to lead a small team of direct reports while collaborating with and marshaling the support of peers and executive leadership across the organization. The Manager will be required to translate detailed client service requirements into system functionality and operational processes that allow efficient and scalable delivery of services and evaluation of sales, operations, and compliance reporting and analytics. Accordingly, the Manager needs to have the ability to quickly assimilate technical information, display patience under pressure, and exhibit insight and problem-solving skills for all client and team member requests and situations. As the company’s service and sales issues vary widely and can be complex or urgent, a successful Manager will also have a high attention to detail, demonstrate effective time management skills and be able to work and make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified applicants should possess:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience and prior on-the-job training;
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in project management, professional services operations, financial planning & analysis, sales operations, or similar functions;
  • Team leadership, training, and management experience required;
  • Experience with or knowledge of the mortgage, real estate, residential services, or other consumer banking industries strongly preferred, but not required;
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Significant proficiency with or mastery of Microsoft Office and Google Suite;
  • Experience with customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, business intelligence, and/or mortgage workflow software programs strongly preferred, but not required;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments;
  • Problem-solving skills and a service orientation.

Compensation and Benefits:

The Sales Operations Manager is an exempt, salaried position, eligible for quarterly performance bonuses, benefits, and company perks, including frequently catered meals and a great culture.
  • Compensation range: $65,000-$70,000 based on qualifications
  • Quarterly Bonus Potential: 10-20% of base salary
