- Continuous Sales Process Improvements and Problem Solving: Understanding the Sales Processes and sales drivers in country by conducting frequent field visits, listen to Country teams, agents, and customers to design sustainable solutions. Break down what’s causing operational challenges around Stock, Sales, Portfolio etc and work with others to design, champion, plan and execute simple solutions that solve pressing problems
- Create a structure for designing & auditing processes in country.
- Make sure Group standards are being followed locally but are adopted to fit the organization's local context e.g., workflows, processes, dashboards, system sanitization
- Conduct regional sales analysis, share insights and and design sustainable solutions/ proposals to address issues or sales opportunities identified.
- Commercial Demand Based Monthly and Annual Activity Planning Design sales improvement/ efficiency interventions for all product Categories and implement them to help achieve sales targets in coordination with the Head of Retail Ops.
- Commercial Team Working Tools Management for Efficiency and results: Design and lead the tracking of all the organization's owned field assets to ensure efficient use to drive performance.
- Lead the performance management and tracking of all sales teams and product categories by organizing and leading weekly sales meetings where sales performance reviews, sales targets, strategies and new initiatives are shared among the Sales Force and Regional Business Managers.
- Contribute to the achievement of monthly sales targets by providing necessary supports such as budgeting, planning, resolving promptly field sales related issues and logistics to sales people.
- Retail Operations Departmental Budget Planning and Gate-keeping: Prepare budgets for Commercial function and track expenses to ensure there are no monthly budget overspends by the sales functions.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Field Sales teams and deploy appropriate Sales Operations resources to put in place interventions aimed at achieving maximum prevention of customers acquired between 0-30 days from falling into blocked or Late status.
- Manage and develop the Telesales team directly and ensure monthly sales and Portfolio quality targets are achieved.
Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a management role in both frontline Sales and Sales Operations in FMCG, a fast-paced start-up or a top consulting firm
- Demonstrable achievements through building and managing a Sales Operations function to support the field sales effort.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures in a diverse community
- Strong leadership skills, including ability to foster a cooperative work environment amongst both the Sales Operations team and business functional heads.
- Results-oriented mindset and extremely high motivation for making things happen
- Work experience in West Africa and speaking Ghanaian local languages are a plus.
