Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO of one of the industry’s most trusted providers of Intermodal and Truckload transportation services. They have been in business since 1997 and operate 150 trucks and drivers out of Chicago, Atlanta, and Orlando.
The Sales Manager will be focused on growing the company’s foothold in the Intermodal and Truckload/FTL transportation sectors through strategic partnerships within the industry. The individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating sales activities to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. They will work closely with the Senior Vice President & Regional Operations Managers They will seek business development opportunities through the expansion of existing customer relationships and terminal operations and prospects for new leads. The BDM will work closely with all divisional Sr. Vice Presidents to identify and pursue division specific opportunities as well as track and maintain data related to sales efforts and prospect status, potential value of sales pipeline, and provide regular reports to management.

Background Required:
  • Intermodal transportation logistics sales
  • Proven background of closing business
  • Successful consultative selling
  • CRM experience
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple levels of decision makers (Executive, Middle, & Line Mgmt)
  • Knowledgeable of pricing & margin integrity
  • Ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Remote (Chicago, Atlanta, Orlando)
  • Travel: 25- 50%
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Knowledge of FMCSA & DOT regulations & requirements
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
  • Relationships in trade associations
  • Time & territory management reporting CRM (i.e., Salesforce, ACT)
