Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President for one of the fastest growing third-party logistics providers in the Southeast.
The Sales manager will be responsible for the growth and development of Sales Representatives. Will coach, train and mentor sales individuals at all levels while assisting in prospecting new customers, closing deals, and expanding the account base. Will assist in the development of strategic and tactical direction for the business unit including the creation of sales budgets and projections. Responsible for analyzing sales data based on KPIs and implement sales strategies that lead to peak performance. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, create an environment where the team feels empowered and supported, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive sales experience within Freight Brokerage (5+ years)
  • Management – hire, train, coach mentor (2+ years)
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, Flatbed, Refrigerated)
  • Strong selling skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Carrier, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Charlotte, NC
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • McLeod Software
  • Education: College Graduate - BA or BS
