Sales Manager
Position Type: Permanent Full-time - Direct hire via Client
Client: Renowned Power System Solutions OEM
Travel: Up to 50%
The position is responsible for business development and proposal activities related to synchronous condenser systems across the United States and Canada.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and drive growth within the company's Power Systems - Grid Stability sector, with a primary focus on synchronous condenser solutions by effectively engaging stakeholders at all levels.

Expand and manage a strong pipeline of business opportunities.

Develop and present compelling, competitive proposals to secure project wins.

Foster collaboration within the organization to tailor solutions and differentiate offerings in the market.

Enhance and protect the company's market presence by participating in industry events, authoring technical papers, delivering presentations, and sharing success stories.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of competitor products and market strategies.

Work closely with the marketing team to create and update promotional materials.

Identify and develop local vendors or partners for auxiliary equipment and services where advantageous.

Coordinate effectively with the sales and sales support teams to maximize opportunities.

Organize and lead productive meetings, including sales presentations, opportunity kick-offs, design reviews, and project handovers to execution teams.

Provide proactive support during and after project execution, assisting in technical and commercial matters to ensure successful project outcomes.

Mentor and support junior team members consistently.

Uphold the company’s core values, including customer focus, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Education & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, engineered sales, or contract negotiation within the power systems sector.

Familiarity with synchronous condenser systems or other grid stability solutions is a strong advantage.

Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships effectively.

Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team.

Practical knowledge of the North American electric power market, including industry trends, market dynamics, and key players.
