Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Partner of a full service logistics provider with offices across the US that handles every type of surface freight transportation across North America, with a focus on freight management, job site deliveries, expedited and heavy haul - the bigger the better.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the management of all sales and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies with the branch. Will create profitable growth revenue by soliciting new sources of revenue and profit. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside sales team. Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales, customer service, and current account growth. Will manage customer relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit. Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Sales / Account Management/ Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (3+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. flatbed, TL, LTL, Intermodal, Heavy Haul, Specialized)
  • Strong Selling and closing capabilities
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Atlanta, GA
