Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales.
The Sales Manager will oversee the southern California region and are expected to utilize a consultative sales approach to identify, solicit, and secure new business from existing and new customers for transloading & distribution services. Provides service updates to customers based on customers’ requests. Collaborates with pricing based on customer knowledge. Assists in accounts receivable collections from customers. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentations, contract signing, and implementation planning. Challenge is to increase revenue and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
- Transloading & Yard storage (3-5 years)
- Established customer contacts and business development
- Possess a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals
- Time & territory management reporting process
- Development & execution of sales plan
- Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Travel: up to 25%
- Residence: Southern California
- Warehousing & Distribution
- Drayage transportation
- National account management
- Understanding of financial principals & tools
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Hunter, sales mentality
- Developed & maintained strong working relationships with customers
- Excellent communicator (i.e. verbal, written, presentations)
- Tenacity to close
- Team player
