Sales Manager

The Sales Manager will lead sales for this manufacturing operation, supporting external representatives and driving growth and profitability. Responsibilities include customer relationship management, tactical sales planning, collaboration with internal teams, market analysis, and quote preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage sales efforts for the company
  • Support external sales representatives and ensure timely execution of sales activities.
  • Monitor and drive metrics for growth and profitability.
  • Maintain internal communication flow and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Visit current customers to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Apply a tactical sales approach to prioritize sales and marketing functions.
  • Track and delegate assignments to representative firms.
  • Develop short- and long-term goals for sales volume and profitability.
  • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction and resolve inquiries or disputes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and accounting teams.
  • Analyze market conditions and competitive activity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Previous metals industry sales experience is beneficial
  • Must have proven leadership skills as well as the ability to work well with others across all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to communicate and interface well with customers
  • Be able to travel 20-25%
