Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of a premier asset-based logistics provider specializing in flatbed, LTL, and intermodal along with a full-service freight brokerage.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel strategies for the new office. Will develop, maintain, and manage new client relationships. Will drive new account growth via prospecting, sourcing, and account penetration. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside sales team. Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales and liaison with customer service and operations teams. Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the region, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Customer Sales in non-asset transportation environment (6+ years)
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, Dry Van, Reefer, LTL, Intermodal, Drayage)
  • Negotiations (Carrier, Customer)
  • KPI Management
  • Develop, implement, and executive business plan strategies
  • Metrics measurements (i.e. pricing, delivery, costs, quality, audits)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Residence: Tampa, FL
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Management experience
  • Transportation Management System
